Battlefield 6 BR Mode Launches Very Soon as a F2P Experience

Following quite some time of speculation, the BR mode for BF6 is officially launching. The latest rumors indicating its arrival would coincide with the new season were spot-on. Players can dive into the mode starting tomorrow.

The New Season Adding a New Map, Mode, and Guns

Alongside the BR mode, the new season is also beginning. It brings a new map, a fresh game type, and new weapons. On top of that, Redsec is making its debut. A embedded trailer will become available at launch, providing players a preview of what's to come.

Free-to-Play Model Allows Redsec Open to Any Player

Possibly the biggest detail is that this new experience will be free-to-play. Much like established offerings, you do not need to purchase the base game to participate. A number of players have earlier tested alpha versions of the mode. These tests were conducted in a testing environment, which the developers described as their largest community collaboration effort.

The adrenaline rush while fighting opposing teams is unique in any other BR game. It's like a true survival situation, and you actually care if you live or perish.
Despite being a snob earlier, I'm fully a fan of the new mode now that I've experienced it.

Such initial reactions from testers have been extremely encouraging. Of course, the mode may have been adjusted over the last couple of months in terms of tuning and tempo. Still, early signs are promising that Redsec could be a genuine rival to established titles. Players are wishing that the best guns from the base title will also apply in the battle royale.
