Preamble

The Red Devils, coming off victories against Sunderland and Liverpool, look to make it a trio of victories straight this evening. Confidence is high under Ruben Amorim for the very first time!

Only problem is, the opposing team come from the south coast, having triumphed on each of their last three trips to Old Trafford, and six of the last seven fixtures head-to-head.

Forget the momentum; for the Seagulls very comfortable. That said, Brighton themselves remain consistently inconsistent as their hosts, so this game is competing and maybe rollickingly good entertainment.

Team News

Manchester United make two changes after last week’s victory at Anfield last weekend. Šeško is selected for Mason Mount, relegated to the bench, plus the decisive scorer Maguire misses out entirely, Yoro replaces him at the back.

Maguire picked up an injury this week in practice. Malacia makes the squad among the substitutes for the first time this season.

The Seagulls opted for one alteration after their 2-1 home win over Newcastle. It’s ostensibly a defensive one, swapping in Maxim De Cuyper replacing Gómez, who drops to the bench.

The striker, a member of the last Manchester United squad champions in back in 2013, returns to Old Trafford in fine form of four goals in three games, one more than he’d managed over his last 15 matches.
