Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a California Car Crash
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California aged 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The celebrated industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
